Cheap and easy to use, I bought a bamboo steamer set off amazon.com for $18. I will use them for dim sum, tamales, fish, sticky rice desserts, etc. Can’t wait to experiment with different dishes! I do need to figure out if the steamers should be touching the wok…they burned a little tonight while cooking.

Hello Jamie Darling!
Just a word of advice on the steamers, they are supposed to sit directly on your wok, but you’ll want to soak the bottom most layer in water for a little bit, or bring the water level up so that it just touches the bottom. I usually soak the bottom level in a shallow dish while I set everything up. Even better, don’t use your wok, every time your boil water in your wok, it removes the “seasoning” oil build up. A pot that’s a little bigger than your steam works better. Miss you!

Oh so many possibilities, so little time….
A little char makes it look like it has been a long standing tool in the kitchen. Broken-in ! π
