Frozen cherry caipirinha

I just stumbled upon an easy, refreshing summer dessert, frozen cherry caipirinha! Because it has .5 C or so of cachaca, Brazilian sugar cane rum, the mixture does not freeze like a popsicle but rather sorbet. Here’s the basic idea:
-pit and pulse a bag of red cherries (i used an immersion blender)
-add .5 to 1 C. white sugar
-add juice of 1 lemon and lemon zest
-add .5 to 1 C. of cachaca

-mix and let freeze for a day or two…so good on plain greek yogurt!

Refreshing and maybe healthy 🙂
