Holiday walnut banana bread with white chocolate frosting

Oh, those overripe bananas take the most delicious turn when added to pancakes or bread. I used the popular bread recipe at:

Since I had half a white chocolate bar (30% cocoa) laying around, I melted it in the microwave and added to the leftover creme fraiche (half whipping cream/half low-fat sour cream) from my pasta dinner. Leaving the icing in the fridge overnight allowed it to harden into a perfect icing consistency.

The smell created by the baking bread was intoxicating and full of holiday cheer. Easy to put together and a great dessert to bring to potlucks.
